Oceanico Victoria: This design is located just west of Faro in the Algarve and covers some 90 hectares. It's the most recent golf course project of Arnold Palmer in Portugal. As one of the best and most sophisticated golf courses in Europe, every care has been taken to ensure the preservation of the wetlands and the typical vegetation. It's also home to the Portugal Masters every year.
Monte Rei: Another gem of Jack Nicklaus, this course, located east of Faro is a great addition to your Portugal golf package. Elevated greens will make you think again about club selection as will the numerous strategic bunkers located along the fairways.
San Lorenzo: Although open a few years, San Lorenzo has built up an enviable reputation as a course you must play if you are in the Algarve. **Keep in mind that handicap certificates are mandatory on Portugal golf courses. Generally a maximum handicap of 36 for the ladies and 32 for the men is preferred.
