One of three championship golf courses located at Wigwam Golf Resort & Spa only 25 minutes west of Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport. Yes, traditional golf does exist in the valley. This course (formerly the Heritage Course) was created Red Lawrence who is also responsible for Arizona's first desert golf course design too. His work is a compliment to the other two courses on-site (Blue and Gold) set among a forest of pines and eucalyptus trees.
