Tidewater Golf Club

Tidewater Golf Club

In 1990 Golf Digest ranked Tidewater Golf Club as one of the Best New Public Golf Courses in America and the course has continued to live up to its recognition. It has received awards from Golf Magazine every year since its inauguration and has been voted one of the top courses in North Myrtle Beach. Designed and built by native South Carolinian Ken Tomlinson, Tidewater reflects his respect for classic turn-of-the-century golf courses created in harmony with the natural landscape. Tomlinson was involved in the entire course development and building process...from the selection of land to the development, design, routing, and construction of the course. Situated along the inter-coastal waterway, saltwater marshes, and the Atlantic Ocean. Tidewater gives golfers the chance to play one of the premier courses in the country. Excellent course conditions keep golfers coming back to Tidewater year after year. Tidewater Golf Club is definite play if you are planning a golf trip to Myrtle Beach. Overlooking the 9th and 18th greens, beautiful marshes and waterways, Tidewaters "lowcountry" clubhouse compliments the Tidewater way of life. Be sure to book your tee time in advance at Tidewater for the tee sheets are bound to fill up fast.
Grande Dunes

Grande Dunes

Tee off along the Intracoastal's sparkling waters and get ready for an unforgettable golf experience! Six sets of tees for golfers of all skill levels, plus breathtaking views and exciting shot-making challenges, combine for not only a truly sensational game but also a remarkable range of playability. Grande Dunes, recently named by Golf Magazine as "Top 10 You Can Play", is setting a new definition for world-class play. This scenic 18-hole masterfully designed course is the creation of the renowned Roger Rulewich Group, a team of former key members of Robert Trent Jones, Sr., Golf Course and Construction Companies. Set high on a bluff overlooking the Intracoastal Waterway, this dramatic design delivers panoramic views of the waterway and maritime forest. It has numerous elevation changes, wide bermudagrass fairways, generous L-93 bentgrass greens and 34-acres of lakes. Intricate placement of bunkers and water on many of the greens add to the excitement of Grande Dunes. A challenge for all skills levels, but playable, this course is one that would present a different challenge each time you played it. But watch out, Grande Dunes is along the Intracoastal, so you may have to use an extra club to make up for the winds that prevail off the water.

River Hills Golf And Country Club

River Hills Golf And Country Club

River Hills, offering 18 holes of enjoyable golfing by Tom Jackson, is located in the historic seaside village of Little River, SC near the border of North Carolina. River Hills offers fairways that meader through a scenic heavily wooded rolling terrain. Aptly named, the rolling hills, unusual for a coastal course, are this layout's signature. This challenging design, yet playable, has frequent 40 feet elevation changes and has no parallel fairways. This is one of the reasons for all the acclaim that River Hills receives. The immaculately manicured greens provide optimum playing conditions throughout the year. The course provides four sets of tees, so golfers of all skill levels can enjoy an unforgettable playing experience. At River Hills Golf Club you will experience a pleasing blend of old and new design features, frequent elevation changes, and championship conditioning on this facility and it has become a popular replay for repeat annual visitors.
Myrtlewood Golf Club - Pinehills Course

Myrtlewood Golf Club - Pinehills Course

The Pine Hills course is the first and only design along the Grand Strand by award-winning architect Arthur Hills. It was formerly known as The Pines, but renamed Pine Hills in 1993, when Hills redesigned it. This course is routed along the same path as it’s predecessor, but Hills’ skillful use of mounding and strategically placed water hazards gave the course a completely different feel. One of 2 championship golf courses located on-site at Myrtlewood Golf Villas.
Myrtlewood Golf Club - Palmetto Course

Myrtlewood Golf Club - Palmetto Course

The accommodating slope of the fairways, delineation of old growth pines, the ease of bent grass greens, and of course the hazards, offer the challenge to golfers of every level of play on the Palmetto course at Myrtlewood. The finishing hole is an especially satisfying play with the scenic Inter-coastal Waterway as an impressive backdrop. Myrtlewoods other course, Pine Hills, is a challenging track of land. One of Golf Digest's 1997 "Top Ten Courses" in Myrtle Beach, it is a culminating blend of superior Bermuda fairways and Penncross bentgrass greens with strategically placed hazards. The Palmetto course has been a Myrtle Beach favorite for more than 20 years. This classic design reflect the typical Lowcountry flavor and beckons to the more casual relaxed manner so symbolic of the South Carolina coast. The course's superbly maintained Bent greens will challenge any skill level. This is a course that has become a real favorite with returning golfers as it is consistently well kept. Views of the intercoastal waterway make the experience even that more dramatic.
