Set high on a bluff overlooking the Intracoastal Waterway, this dramatic design delivers panoramic views of the waterway and maritime forest. It has numerous elevation changes, wide bermudagrass fairways, generous L-93 bentgrass greens and 34-acres of lakes. Intricate placement of bunkers and water on many of the greens add to the excitement of Grande Dunes. A challenge for all skills levels, but playable, this course is one that would present a different challenge each time you played it. But watch out, Grande Dunes is along the Intracoastal, so you may have to use an extra club to make up for the winds that prevail off the water.
River Hills Golf And Country Club
River Hills, offering 18 holes of enjoyable golfing by Tom Jackson, is located in the historic seaside village of Little River, SC near the border of North Carolina. Myrtlewood Golf Club - Pinehills Course
The Pine Hills course is the first and only design along the Grand Strand by award-winning architect Arthur Hills. It was formerly known as The Pines, but renamed Pine Hills in 1993, when Hills redesigned it. This course is routed along the same path as it’s predecessor, but Hills’ skillful use of mounding and strategically placed water hazards gave the course a completely different feel.
