Day 2 - June 17th - Predator Ridge Golf Resort
 
Day 2 of the Telus World Skins Game was Camilo's day to shine, starting from the carry over number nine hole from Monday. Camilo Villegas "Spiderman" secured six skins by the time the Fab Five reached the par-5 Redtail #5 (14th hole) with a cool $130,000. Then running away with the entire back nine by winning an addition $100,000 by taking skins on 15-16-17 and the shoot-out on 18.
 
The back-nine scorecard is peppered with a total of 14 birdies which raised $28,000 dollars as well as the cumulative yardage of $1601 bringing the day 2 total to $29,601 and a grand total of $46,340 raised  for BC Children's Hospital Foundation.
 
After Mike and Camilo eached placed beautiful approach shots into the 18th green, the hole was halved with birdies to force a five-way shoot-out. All players wedged in from 130 yards and Camilo Villegas secured the KP to win the reamining four skins and earns himself  a 1 day total of $230,000 dollars. 
 
During the press conference just minutes ago Villegas comments that "he his just a kid and simply honered to be here and play with just great players". Mike Weir fields a question about the Canadian Open and how it has lost some of it's luster. He comments that RBC will be able to assist to bring the only major Canadian event back into the lime light since it tends to get lost in the shuffle of PGA events and the dates available. Fred commented he would like to return to the Canadian Open.
 
 
 
Day 1 - June 16th - Predator Ridge Golf Resort
 
The morning  Pro-am is now in full swing. Local and BC PGA Professionals have kicked off the 1st 9-hole Pro-Am on the Osprey Nine. Notables playing in the field are Rob Anderson (Harvest GC) , Brian McDonald (Fairview Mountain), Edd Boudreau (Arbutus Ridge), Greg Pidlaski (Kelowna GCC), along with Tim Tait, Randy Smith, Cec Ferguson, Bill Kelly, Derek Thornley, Ian Henson (Sun Rivers), Brad Burgart (Capilano), Michael Mather (University GC) and Sean Richardson.
 
Corporate Sponsors include Andre's Audiotronics, Samsung, Kal Tire, Sparking Hill, Desjardins and of course Telus. Even the big event playerts Weir, Villega, Montgomerie, Norman and Couples are enjoying the low key affair.
 
Camilo Villega aka - SpidermanDay 1 Closes with Greg Norman, the shark as adorably dubbed by fans, circled the pack and on hole number six, sank his teeth into first day paycheck of $100,000. Earlier at hole number two, and as the Okanagan sun was turning on, Fred Couples bagged two skins valued at $30,000 with a beautiful 60+ foot putt for birdie.
 
In Summary, 8 skins won, hole number nine was halved by Fred Couples and Colin Montgomerie. The real winners of the day is BC Children's Hospital where Birdies and Eagles represented cash in the bank, with a total of six birdies an one eagle valued at $2000 and $3000 respectively. Hole number eight was the cumulative drive yardage at 1739 yards between all 5 players. A grand total of $16,739 was raised with more to accumulate on Tuesday.
 
 

 2008 Telus World Skins Game To Bring World-Class
Broadcast Experience On TSN And RDS To Fans Across The Country Next Week
Canadian golf event to be broadcast in HD for first time; adds popular David Feherty to broadcast booth
 
Toronto, ON - Next week’s TELUS World Skins Game at British Columbia’s Predator Ridge is sold out, but fans at home will be able to enjoy the popular Canadian summer golf event more than ever before as TSN and RDS bring world-class coverage of this made-for-TV original production. 
 
Organizers of the event announced today that the 2008 TELUS World Skins Game in support of BC Children’s Hospital will be broadcast in high definition for the first time. In addition, the immensely popular David Feherty, named by Golf Digest readers last year as their favourite golf commentator for his work on CBS golf broadcasts, will join TSN’s Rod Black in the booth for this year’s broadcast. TSN’s Bob Weeks returns as the on-course reporter and will be joined by former Canadian LPGA Tour player Gail Graham.
 
“The TELUS World Skins Game aims to be a world-class event in every way, and we believe the television coverage certainly will make for an outstanding experience for the viewers across the country,” said Glenn Young, Vice President of IMG Media, executive producers of the TELUS World Skins Game. “We’re especially excited about adding David Feherty to the broadcast crew; he is one of the top commentators in the world of golf and really does make every event he covers very entertaining.”
 
TSN’s coverage of the TELUS World Skins Game will air in two, two-and-a-half hour telecasts in prime time.
 
The action begins with round one on Monday, June 16 at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT
Second round airing on Wednesday, June 18 at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT.
 
Encores will be presented on TSN on Thursday, June 19 and Friday, June 20 at 12 noon ET/9 a.m. PT.
 
RDS will broadcast the event in French on Monday, June 16 and Tuesday, June 17 at 8:00 ET. All broadcasts on TSN and RDS will be in high definition. 
 
The TELUS World Skins Game, in support of BC Children’s Hospital, returns to Predator Ridge, the site of the 2000 Skins Game, on Monday, June 16 and Tuesday, June 17 and will feature five of the top names in golf, each representing a different country. Mike Weir will represent Canada, with Fred Couples representing the United States, Greg Norman representing Australia, Colin Montgomerie representing his native Scotland, and rising young star Camilo Villegas representing Colombia. 
 
This year’s broadcast will also feature a thrill of a lifetime for two lucky fans who will have the opportunity to become an instant millionaire with the Michelin Million Dollar Hole-In-One Contest presented by Kal Tire on day two of the tournament. Two winners were selected from in-store entries at Kal Tire locations in British Columbia and will each have one swing at the $1 Million prize on the 17th hole on Tuesday.
