Black Mountain Golf Club

575 Black Mountain Drive, Kelowna, British Columbia Black Mountain Golf Club

Black Mountain golf course is more than just a fun, unique, friendly full par-71 challenging golf course located in Kelowna, BC. It features 18-holes worth of breathtaking Okanagan landscape and a signature island green. We value spectacular, lush course conditions with a relaxed, inviting atmosphere. We’re not trying to distract you from your game – we just want to ensure you have the perfect ambiance.

Golf groups traveling on an Okanagan golf package have quickly learned the Black Mountain Golf Course is a course that provides extreme fun and a test of their golf skills. The front nine can be very demanding with critical position to allow for par chances and avoid the dreaded double bogie! Our favorite is hole number 4. An elevated tee box that varies in distance with the combination of tee box  location ( with a total of 5 ) along with pin placement and the wind direction. Golf tip - setup slightly right of the green, even if you do not draw the ball back, a kick off the hill if you are far enough will often provide very favorable!

The Grill at Black Mountain golf is our answer to “what smells so good!?” Mouth-watering locally influenced selections, The Grill will satisfy. With affordable prices, you won’t mistake your bill for your scorecard. Enjoy an ice-cold beverage with friends after a round and find out why “that’s delicious” is more than just a common saying around here. Nachos are a favorite at Black Mountain golf course restaurant.

Thoughtfully and meticulously crafted, Black Mountain golf is a multi-generational, master-planned golf community located in Kelowna, British Columbia.

Thanks again Ross for organizing our golf trip again this year. The change of location was great and we are already planning on returning next year although we are exploring increasing our group to 12 (from 8).

We will have a debriefing meeting once everyone here gets back from their travels.

It was great that you could join us for a round at Black Mountain (my only score over a hundred- way to many eights) and join the entire group for lunch.

Your organization and planning was excellent and we loved some of the new courses you added for us. We have a couple of guys coming to Kelowna early for a wedding so we will get you to be both our travel agent and our golf planner for our next trip. We will be in touch and thanks again for all your help.

From the first inquiry, through to the drop of the last putt, i would like to thank you for all the help in organizing our trip. The website for the payment worked awesome, and left me not having to worry about chasing 23 other guys for payment.

I highly recommend the services of the BC Golf Guide. We are already talking about returning to the very same place next year and we have not yet been home a week.

Thanks for all of your help from all 24 members of the Wellness Tour and our thanks to the Okanagan Seasons Resort for putting up with all of us. See you in 2015!

What an interesting, and fun course. First time played by our "Tour Group of 17 Years". Black Mountain Golf Course was great, the staff was friendly, food was great ~ a good time had by all.

Trena Cole

Thank you for all of your work for this Kelowna golf trip. We had a fantastic time and the service from Let's Go Transportation was awesome. Please pass on our thanks to them. Will be in touch when we plan our next golf trip. Thank again.

David Reid

I would like to tell you thanks has a great time on our trip. Set us up with a great instructor, Clay Stothers. Hotel location - Holiday Inn Express Kelowna was great. Golf course was great: staff at the Okanagan golf club is what made it so great. thanks so much.

Thank you so much for your assistance in booking our recent golf trip to Kelowna.

The Comfort Inn and Suites Kelowna Hotel was excellent. We were treated extremely well by the staff and the hotel clean, well located in the city and a good value.

The golf courses were all very nice. I enjoyed our round at Sunset Ranch Golf Course the best. The staff at all the courses were very welcoming and professional.

My husband was very pleased with your services. He previously traveled to Kelowna and made all the arrangements himself. He thought it was an excellent value to book the arrangements through your company. He felt we received excellent tee times which allowed us to make the most of our vacation.

Thanks again and we look forward to returning to Kelowna next year.

Our Kelowna golf trip in the first during the period Sep 30-Oct 8th was very good. Our favorite golf courses were Predator and Tower Ranch. The condo accommodations at Playa Del Sol Resort was nice. Overall it was a very good trip.

Thanks BC Golf for your recommendations and bookings.

Josie & Eric Hendrickson

Everything went off well for our Kelowna golf trip, no glitches at all. We played 187 holes in 4 days, 45 at Gallagher's, 45 at Kelowna Springs, 46 at Sunset Ranch and 51 at Black Mtn. Accommodation at Kelowna Bay Condos was comfortable and clean and shuttle service was excellent. Thanks for your help.

Dennis Malchow

You guys did an amazing job for me. Saved me a lot of emailing and time and for a better price than the hotels themselves. Thanks.

We had a boys trip to Kelowna the first week in August and it was one of the best we've had. Everything was taken care of before we arrived and we had no problems during our entire stay. I looked into booking this trip individually and it would have cost much more plus we booked our tee times in April as opposed to trying to book them the week before and hoping to get the times we wanted. We will be doing more trips within BC and will be contacting BC Golf Guide to arrange them, an excellent way to take the hassles out of planning your next golf road trip! Thanks Ross!

Peter Rees

Thank you for you're services arranging our trip this year! all four courses were in great shape and the weather was perfect. did you arrange that too? thank you! our new favorite course is now predator ridge! our accommodations were very good both in Kelowna and Vernon. our only complaint, it took over an hour for breakfast at Gallagher's. it's OK, everybody has there bad days! thanks again. will be looking to hook up again for next year! (maybe phoenix)

michael firestone

Just wanted to say thank you for the wonderful trip you put together for us, everything went off without a hitch and we had a great time, felt it was great value for the money. We are thinking of planning an Okanagan Golf vacation again in a couple of years so we will definitely be contacting you!

Peter Rees

12 guys coming from all over and at different arrival times, 9 days (Kelowna, Kamloops, Predator), with 7 golf games on different courses from Kamloops to Kelowna area, a winery tour and transportation in one van for all of us. Hotels, dinner reservations - it all went without a hitch. Thanks Ross and BCGOLFGUIDE.

After encountering snow, rain, sleet and sun on my way up to Kelowna I arrived to sunny skies.

Got to Gallagher's Canyon Golf early teed off 20 min early which was a good thing as we had a slower group in front and may not have made it before night fall. Course was just like you said fairways were brownish with the greens being slow instead of putters 6 irons were used haha just the same we had a blast.

Black Mountain was nice quite a challenge all went well until the rain hit at 15 side ways we managed to still keep the scores pretty good till 18 then we were wet right through would like to play again in nicer weather.

Shannon Lake Golf Club was what we expected as we played it 2 years ago and was a nice day golf was good we all shot well and to top it off we ran into our cousin who we had not seen in over 20 years. Comfort Inn & Suites Kelowna Hotel was good breakfast good would go back.

Thanks Ross for putting up with our not knowing what we want and guiding us through.

Randy Onyschak

Just a quick line to say a big "THANK YOU" for a well planned Kelowna golf vacation by yourself. Courses were in great shape and we enjoyed them both. Should had stayed longer but next time. Was a little worried booking blind on-line as never done it before, but thanks to you will not hesitate to do it again.

Thank you for a great golf get - a - way and Thank You for all your time & efforts in getting every booked and run so smoothly. Thanks again and you will be hearing from us again for sure.

I had a GREAT time. I had no problems with the Coast Capri Hotel, nor at the Okanagan Golf Club or at Gallagher's Canyon Club.

I found the Coast Capri Hotel to be in a good location, my room was clean and of good size. Also, it was in a very quiet location. The room was about half-way back and on the side facing Kelsey's Grill. I didn't use the swimming pool, but it looked good. The lobby and restaurant area was spacious and had a friendly ambiance. The staff at the front desk was always friendly and professional. I would definitely stay there again, as well as recommend it to other travelers.

As for the golf courses, I loved all three of them. I found Gallagher's to be a little more of a challenge, but still played it well and had a good time with a couple of club members. The Bear and Quail Courses of the Okanagan Club are also "must play" and beautiful courses. I liked the Quail Course a little better because I liked the challenge of the 17th & 18th holes. They are beautiful finishing holes, both of which I parred. I also think that the Okanagan Club is a little more casual and felt a little more comfortable playing with the golfers that I was paired up with. The first day I was put in with three very nice friendly locals. When I played the Quail, I was paired up with a nice gentleman from Vancouver who was visiting your city, like me. I would definitely play all three again, but it will have to be after I try to play other courses in your area. All three courses are what I call "feel good" courses. These are courses that it feels good to be playing there. That makes my golf day.

Randy Wakaki (From Hawaii)

Another great trip in the books, thanks to you. Although I did manage to lose our three round low-net tournament by one stroke, which still sticks in my craw.

But the accommodations were good again, and the courses - wonderful. Tower Ranch and Black Mountain were delightful. Our final round was at Black Mountain, and the course was in great shape, the staff were friendly, and the clubhouse an excellent place to wrap up the proceedings.

Our third consecutive fantastic trip booked through bcgolfguide.com!

Thank you again for fixing the shuttle at the last minute. I know that it was not for want of effort on your part, and I appreciate your diligence in helping correct the problem for us.

We will likely return to the Okanagan next year, but I think we will be looking for different accommodations in future. Perhaps a couple multi-bedroom condos at the same complex or a rental house with enough beds to have our own deck space/patio, and perhaps a barbecue.

Further, the Delta Grand, though the rooms are fantastic and beds great - they don't have Golf Channel. As our trip always coincides with the Open, in future we will need access to the highlight loop so we can keep abreast of these important matters.

I greatly appreciate all the assistance in setting up our 35th "Okanagan Master's". Four rounds, three nights of a golf extravaganza for our 28 guys from Nanaimo! As usual, we had a blast! We stayed one night at Quaaout Lodge, played Talking Rock twice before moving on to Kamloops, staying at the Ramada Inn and golfing at Sun Rivers then The Dunes. (Would have liked to play Rivershore but it was not available). Here's our input:

Quaaout Lodge is an outstanding facility with great rooms, great hot tub, pool and steam room. Fantastic views. The staff were friendly and helpful but the food and beverage service was "wanting". The F & B staff were not overly busy but they seemed disorganized and untrained. It took (and I'm not kidding) one and one half hours for three of us to get our dinner meal on Sunday June 5th. Also, several of our participants commented that they objected in principal to paying 12% HST, 7% B C Liquor Tax AND 5% First Nations Tax! Some of our group participated in the Sunday Brunch, which received high marks, and all 28 had dinner, breakfast and lunch after golf before departing. The quality of the "from the menu" meals was good.

At Talking Rock we found the staff friendly, welcoming and very accommodating. Our guys rated the course as excellent and very suitable for our diverse handicap group (8 - 28). Very good practice facilities with driving range having grass tees. The greens were slower than they looked! Many said they would enjoy playing all four rounds at Talking Rock and stay at the Lodge if the F & B dept. could get their act together.

At the Ramada Inn in Kamloops we found the staff friendly and accommodating and the rooms adequate for our needs. June 6th., 26 out of 28 watched game 3 of the Stanley Cup finals in the 3rd floor lounge, had dinner and enjoyed a few cold ones. The lounge staff was fantastic and the food good. Tuesday, June 7th was our wind up hosted banquet which was held in the same lounge. We had arranged to have a NY Steak Bar-Be-Que. Steaks were cooked to order then salad, vegetables and fixings, along with apple pies and whipped cream were set up buffet style. It was extremely well handled and our guys raved about the meal. Once again the two lounge servers were outstanding and the young gal who cooked the steaks did an outstanding job.

Breakfasts were buffet style in the 2nd floor restaurant. Great for golfers in a hurry... handled well and we very much appreciated the kitchen and serving staff opening at 6:30 a m (instead of the usual 7:00 a m) enabling us to meet our 8:00 a m tee time at the Dunes. Food was tasty and plentiful. The Ramada is an older style hotel/motel but has been up-dated and generally suited our needs well. Very good large hot tub!

The Pro Shop, starter and restaurant staff at Sun Rivers were friendly and most accommodating. Good practice facilities. Some of our high handicapers found the course harder than most and struggled with the many "blind" shots. Lower handicapers generally enjoyed the challenge. Likely would select a different course next time.

The Pro at the Dunes requested that the event organizer sign the "waiver" for all power carts which was politely refused... instead each power cart driver signed the waiver accepting responsibility for bodily injury or property damage and we were on our way. Staff and owner Bill Bilton Jr were very friendly and most accommodating. Great new Clubhouse. The golf course was enjoyed by all even though some greens had been heavily fertilized that morning and a few greens were damaged. Seven foursomes... and the round took from three and a half hours for the first group to just under four hours for the last group. The course is very playable and suited our guys very well. We shall return! FYI our rough calculations indicate that our group spent between $38,000. and $40,000. for the entire 6 days most of us were on the road.

Dave Bakes

We had a great time despite the very chilly weather. We would all like to do Black Mtn again when it's warm and not so windy and snowy. We did enjoy The Rise and Canoe Creek as well. Very much spring conditions. We also loved the hotel in Salmon Arm (Podollan Inn) but can't say we were really taken with Kelowna's Accent Inn. Hope to be out that way again in the summer. (it will be summer some time won't it?)

Jackie Lozeron

I just wanted to say what a great time we all had in Kelowna at the Manteo Resort and I thank you for making it all possible. Everything worked out as you had laid it out for us for golf course check in.

Sharon Woyat

Thank you for arranging our Kelowna trip for us. The Accent Inn was in a great location and the beds very comfortable and clean.

We enjoyed the courses you picked (Sunset Ranch, Black Mnt and Shannon Lake). So many nice courses there, loved the scenery and there was a nice breeze on each of them that made the heat more bearable. We headed to the lake after every game which was refreshing.

We will keep your number for sure for any future golf trips.

I have booked a few trips through Ross at BC Golf Guide and will definitely be booking more. When you have 10-14 guys going it's nice to have someone who can coordinate it all without any issues. We have done Kamloops, Salmon Arm and this year Osoyoos and they have all been a blast.

I even forgot my actual passes that Ross sent me a couple weeks before the trip and I had to call him from the course and get him to fax them ASAP which he did to the applause of our group! Anyways, look forward to booking with you again next year Ross, thanks again!

Jamie Slusarchuk

We booked our group of 12 with BCgolfguide.com to Kelowna this past May. The trip was great and we even had a shuttle to take us to all the courses, I highly recommend this. Thanks again Ross for taking care of us.

John Scavarda

We have booked thru BCgolfguide.com for 3+ years and I enjoy dealing with Ross. When I call he already knows who I am, as he remembers our past conversations and my voice. It is a pleasure to deal with his company. Always quick and efficient. Our groups travels all over North America to various resorts, and I can honestly attest that no one I have dealt with at resorts in Florida, South Carolina and California match the attention to detail and accuracy. The trips are executed without hassles and mistakes. Thank you. Golfing in the Okanagan is awesome!

Herb Genteman

Alan Hudak from Ontario, along with his 7 friends that have done an annual trip for 30 plus years, they visited the Okanagan in April 2009, and stayed at the Playa Del Sol Resort. They had a blast. Read Alan's review on Trip Advisor

Alan Hudak

I wanted to say thanks once again for setting up our golf trip this past weekend. It was awesome as always. A little rain on the Friday but the rest of the weekend turned out great. Thanks for the excellent service you and your company provide... it's outstanding! When I did have any questions or anything else to do with the trip, your response was immediate and very professional

Scott

Just a note about our trip to Kamloops. it was awesome! all the courses were excellent. the weather was great and all the boys had a great time. thank you very much for all your help. we are planning for next year. probably we will golf Okanagan and Kelowna areas. will be in touch with details. thanks again!

Mike Firestone

At the Quail course , we were all given a $10 credit because two tiny patches of green were roped off as unplayable. Essentially we all got a free sleeve of balls due to a very minor course issue. I (and the rest of my group) was totally impressed by this gesture by the Quail course... something many courses would not have done. That really made a positive impression on us. We in BC sometimes complain about service, but certainly not at the Quail course. They were top notch in every way. Thanks again, we are looking forward to next year's trip

Rob Griffith

The Coast Capri was a great place to stay, close to everything. We encountered a bit of drizzle/rain the first two days, but nothing to hold us back from golfing. We were very happy with the courses we played; and their hospitality was wonderful... particularly Sunset Ranch - I'm just sorry we didn't plan that day to stay there to eat, they seemed to have been the most friendly, and accommodating.

Trena Cole

Unbelievable golf, excellent accommodations, and most of all the weather was perfect. Any of our future golf trips Ross will be handled through you and you company. Black Mountain was a true joy to play although the greens were a little slow, but that was understandable being they are brand new, great course. Once again Ross, thank you for everything you did to make it a very special kelowna golf trip

Wayne

The accommodations were great, and all of us were very impressed with the courses. Kelowna has another winner in the Black Mountain course. We are most definitely doing this again next year, and will be calling on you to get us set up again.
